If one is to use SuSE as web server with 1 NIC, instead of having only 1 ip addr, is there a way to setup (via alias or otherwise) multiple virtual ip addrs with SuSE box?
You can set up several IPs for one NIC. Simply call the alias devices that you add on top of eth0, fro example, eth0:0, eth0:1, eth0:2, etc. In Yast, that would be "Network Base Configuration"->New Device->"<Enter other device>"->"eth0:0" and configure this device like any other ethernet device. -- Michael Hasenstein http://www.suse.de/~mha/ Private Pilot (ASEL+aerobatics) since 1998 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
