Hi everybody.
There is an NT router in our network with the IP 10.10.10.1. That is also the DNS server.
This is the private class A network.
I'm using a linux box with the IP 10.10.10.80. programs like netscape are working well when proxy configurations are given. But all other programs (including ping, traceroute, every beautiful utility of linux networking you can think of) is not working. I'm constantly getting the error "Host not found."
Are you trying to ping hosts on 10.0.0.0 or on the internet? Are you pinging by address or hostname?
The contents of /etc/resolv.conf is the following:
/* comments ... */ search jetpa.com.tr nameserver 10.10.10.1
Question is, how can I do a configuration so my normal network programs can work?
If you are trying to ping to the internet through a proxy/NAT box that is not configured for it then you are out of luck.
