Access a Win95 box remotely via my linux box. My sister's Win95 is on a roadrunner cable modem. She gave me her IP address but I get an access denied message when I try to telnet in. Her cable support people say I should be able to telnet in. What am I missing? Does she have to have an ftpd running on her box? JLK

Windows 95 doesn't come with either an FTP or a telnet daemon, unless she happened to have installed a 3rd party product. Try www.tucows.com; they've got an assortment of daemons that'll run in Win95; but consider the point that she will also be opening her system to *anybody* on the internet, not just you, and she should do something to keep those people out that she doesn't want in there.
