I maintain some webpages at my work and often update them from home. One thing I really like about KDE is the ability to put a fptURL right on the desktop. I click on it, wait a bit, and the remote directory appears *almost* like a local directory. If I open kwrite, I can drag the icon for an html file on the remote directory into the editor. It reads it and I can then edit, and when I click save, it automagicly ftp's the updated file to the remote machine. Unfortunately, this doesn't quite work with Quanta (which looks very nice) or with WebMaker. If I right click on an html file in the ftp directory, I get the choices of opening it with WebMaker or Quanta. Unfortunately, for some reason, clicking save doesn't save via ftp with either app. Any suggestions? -- Kenneth R.
