Is your fetchmail running as a daemon, so that you are not seeing these messages? Perhaps there is a logfile somewhere that you can read.
Using fetchmailconf (try expert mode) you can have a logfile while
running in daemon mode.
Or just add a line in your .fetchmailrc that says"
et logfile "/home/<username>/fetchmail.log"
Your choice of how to read it. I use xlogmaster to view a bunch of
different logs.
