most systems I know test power sources prior to boot up. I have'n't seen that message myself. I really would have to take a look at yoru /var/log/messeges and /var/log/boot.msg files. most everythign is logged here including failures. are you aware of the module which fails and at what point. what modules were loaded before it, and so on. The only thing I can think of is perhaps you have apmd, the power managment deamon running and it sees somethign that it does not like. also are you running on a lapttop ? After reinstalling 6.1 and getting a running system, the System V style startup says [something] POWER: BAD This time around, I've installed Woodchuck hardware debugger, is that where the message is coming from? The system is slow and sluggish -is it possible that my power supply has gone bad or maybe there is a bug in my mother board? meanwhile, I'm terrified of turning on my computer.
Your previous help has been great! Matthew Yapit:)
