Paul, I would think that the RPM was compiled and made with X11 forwarding enabled and since your machine is just a firewall I am assuming you don't have X installed which is good .. but this precompiled version is looking for it. I would suggest getting the source tarball and compiling your own version of ssh w/ X11 forwarding enabled. Your going to have to modify the make file so it does not look for the Xlibs .. or you will get the same errors that you have listed below. You can get the tarball from www.ssh.fi and you shouldn't have many problems at all. ssh compiles fine on my 6.3 system. Hope this helps,

Copied ssh.rpm to / this morning and did rpm -Uvh ssh.rpm This machine is use as firewall only, setup with Mason.
Received the following error: libc.so.5 is needed by ssh-1.2.25-1 libX11.so.6 same libSM.so.6 same libICE.so.6 same
If we do not need any of the above lib's, how should I invoke ssh to test it?
