[SLE] Determining the number of new messages retrieved

Hi there. Ok, i'm lazy, so that's why i'm asking. But is there a way of determing the number of msgs retreived by fetchmail. I'm trying to make the 'You have new mail' msg more informative, to something like 'You have 520 new messages' (always the case for me..) But this issue i'm fine with..
