Dids,
It could be any number of things.
"I cant seem to see any service running on port 6711"
That's the roseta man port. It is used to provide manpages to the network in
many different formats. It's really cool when you get it working. The SuSE
book has instructions on how to set up a dochost pp 382-383 in the English 6.4
book. The instructions are also on the default web site that is set up when
you install the help system.

Be sure you have reverse DNS on the domain names you use in the etc/host.allow
and etc. If you don't, use ip addresses instead. To test to see if you are
getting reverse DNS type "nslookup hostname.sub.domain". There are a lot of
moving parts in this system. I don't remember all the details. If this
doesn't get you going, give us some feedback and someone on the list is bound
to know the answer.
HTH,
Steve
