Sorry- That was a bit terse.

I was referring to people who post opinions rather than a specific solution to
a problem. The comment I was referring to had no useful information for anyone
concerned. I hacked the makefile that the original person had a problem with.
That seemed to solve the problem. I followed up with an offer to send the file
to anyone who requested it.

My comment was referring to the typical "Mine works" or "Me too" posts which
seem to originate more often than not from M$ mailers.

I do disagree with your statement that people have no influence over what OS
they use at work. I made a choice 27 years ago - on a PDP-8 and continue to
today.
