The first response to the post was to download kpackage from the SuSE 6.3 site. Should be in the archives by now. I've downloaded, but have yet to install it. Bill Barnes

This is not good. I just bought and installed 6.4 and I see the same problem. I might understand the need to rebuild if I had tampered but can't we expect this to work out of the box?
I just tried the rebuild but this didn't help. Was the answer to this already posted and I missed it?
