OK, nfs was easy. However I can't seem to figure out how to use it to connect to my server running the firewall. It works if I shutdown the firewall. I'm using the SuSEfirewall. I assume that I need to set the port it uses in: FW_SERVICES_INTERNAL_TCP= AND UDP= Correct me if I'm wrong. But I can't seem to find the port it uses. I tried 2049.
I haven't set up NFS yet, but I have set up Samba for my windows boxes. *if* NFS uses the same ports as SMB (Samba), then this might help you: In /etc/services: netbios-ns 137/tcp # NETBIOS Name Service netbios-ns 137/udp netbios-dgm 138/tcp # NETBIOS Datagram Service netbios-dgm 138/udp netbios-ssn 139/tcp # NETBIOS session service netbios-ssn 139/udp And in /etc/rc.firewall: To FW_SERVICES_INTERNAL_TCP, add the services: netbios-ns netbios-dgm netbios-ssn To FW_SERVICES_INTERNAL_UDP, add the services: netbios-ns netbios-dgm -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
