I did just that this weekend... except I only had 80MB to play with ;-)

I'm not sure whether this is possible. I did my install over a network. You
might be able to do a 'Hard Disk' install. When this happens, you have to copy
the files you want onto your hard disk (in this case the zip drive, and
assuming that you can access the zip during install). You then point YaST at
that and go ahead. The full details are in the SuSE manual (page 68 in my SuSE
6.1 manual).

If you want to know what packages, I can send you my configuration that I
managed to fit in 80MB of disk space, so you should be alright (but remember
that you'll have to put other stuff from the SuSE CD on the zip disk as well).
