Hi, ** 25 minutes for a reply that was right on the money! Good :) Nice to see something working in this list ;) ** A big thank you. I got x running and I even figured out why the system ** was sooo slooow. Seems it only detected 14 MB of memory. SuSE linked ** to the ibm site and their stuff showed me how to fix the memory problem. ** ** Now if you don't mind, your seem to be familiar with the 810 so I have a ** two questions which I suspect are related. Familiarish. ** One, how do I get to the BIOS? Try F2 on the boot screen - should be nice Intel logo or crappy OEM logo if they reprogrammed it. Hit Esc to kill the OEM logo and it should tell you the key if it's a genuine Intel board. The BIOS doesnt have any nice tweaking options though :( Just the basics. If you want more options, there is a BIOS jumper on the board but I wouldn't play with that unless you've got a big fan and a box of spare processors :) ** and two, why is my hard drive detected as ** hdc and not hda??? Your hard disk will probably be the primary drive on the second IDE chain then. Some people build them this way, but for what reason I'm not sure. I assume that your CD picks up as hda/hdb? It may also be that the drives are ATA66 as there are some funny effects with them - nothing overly serious though. ** Thanks again for your help, Any time Chris. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
