There is probably no MX record in the foreign machine's dns record. Try: bash> nslookup
set type=mx xxx.yyy.zzz
You should get a mailserver returned. There are ways to turn off dns lookups with postfix, check out the postfix faq. It'd be in /usr/doc/packages/postfix, or http://www.postfix.org. You're probably better off asking these type of questions on the postfix maillist, instead, but you'd better have read through the documentation first.
