I have an epson 1160 color inkjet that I was unable to get working with SuSE. I installed the ESP printer drivers and it works realy nice , especialy in color. It suporets several res0oltions and paper types as well as letting you create any size paper you need to print on. Check it out at www.easysw.com , they have a demo you can download and try. They suport a whole lot of printers At 11:07 AM 4/17/2000 -0700, S.Toms wrote:
Ok, I've played around with the various drivers, and have found the following in case anyone is interested. With the following drivers cdj550, cdj670, cdj850, cdj890
you get good b&w output, but the color output seems to be condenesed to the left, almost as if the page is half the width it actually is. So I played some more and have found that the 'cdjcolor' driver seems to do the job quite well. Havn't done any speed checks yet but it seems to do quite well. The only thing I've come across (which is probably do to incompatibility) is that after a print, the resume light continues to blink, but then it continued to blink with all the other drivers I've tried as well. So, what it boils down to is that if I had to make a recommendation, I would recommend the 'cdjcolor' driver when using the dj932c printer.
