My problem was that I was a user - not an admin. :o) I wanted to get through Uni unscathed!! Root was attacked by a "collegue" but I don't think he had intentions to change procmail just so I could say "Don't bother emailing, I'm in the Bahamas" to emails that come through. Things are different now... thats what I love about Linux, and a lot of people will probably agree... Linux is an Admin wannabe's dream! Of course, as soon as you use Linux we all become Linux Admins! Scary. :o) Cheers, Toms Kev -----Original Message----- From: S.Toms [mailto:tomas@primenet.com] Sent: 14 April 2000 01:22 To: SuSE Linux English Subject: [SLE] Re: qmail and auto-reply On Thu, 13 Apr 2000, Kev Jackson wrote: kj> I remember when I needed a program to say I was away. Now I'm implementing a way to tell if the user has already received a autoreply so they don't keep getting them. But thats easy as well. - scan a file for authors email - if address exists don't reply else reply and extract address - append address to file kj> What I needed wasn't as advanced as what Kaare needed, but as soon as I kj> saw vacation, my brain said Vacation. kj> kj> See, quick off the draw me! :o) kj> kj> Kev Jackson kj> kj> kj> -----Original Message----- kj> From: Sean Rima [mailto:sean.rima@ntlworld.com] kj> Sent: 13 April 2000 19:35 kj> To: suse-linux-e@suse.com kj> Subject: Re: [SLE] qmail and auto-reply kj> kj> kj> Hi Kevin! kj> kj> As the maintainer of Vacation, I can say that Vacation *currently* does not kj> do what he wants but this sort of thing is on the cards. kj> kj> Sean kj> kj> On Thu, 13 Apr 2000, Kevin Jackson wrote: kj> kj> > Does vacation work? kj> > There is a program which allows you to set a message up that automatically kj> > replies to any incoming messages. kj> > If its not on the SuSE disks, have a look on freshmeat.net for vacation. kj> > kj> > Kev kj> > kj> > -----Original Message----- kj> > From: Kaare Rasmussen [mailto:kar@webline.dk] kj> > Sent: 13 April 2000 12:22 kj> > To: suse-linux-e@suse.com kj> > Subject: [SLE] qmail and auto-reply kj> > kj> > kj> > Hi kj> > kj> > I have some users on a qmail mail system.
