I have a SupraExpress 33.6 External modem connected to my machine at home. Got it working using Kppp under 6.3. I had a problem where it would dial - and not do much after that! I had to change the Authentication method to CHAP not PAP. Yes, I never paid attention to my ISPs info! :o) After that it worked fine. My Kppp settings are thus: Device: /dev/cua1 (Not that this will help, as it depends on your computer!) Once you have selected your port, check the modem settings by going to Modem and Query Modem. Flow Control: None Line Termination: CR/LF Connection Speed: 57600 Use Lock File: No Modem Timeout: 120 Modem: Busy Wait: 5 PPP: pppd Timeout: 120 Now under your account, this depends on your ISP. Try CHAP authentication Disable existing DNS during connection Domain Name: the bit after the www for ISP's home page (usually). Default Gateway Hope this helps.
