I've seen this asked before but I can't find the answer in any of the mail I have from the group. Sorry if I should have found it. I have a SuSE box with 2 nics: eth0 is on the 210.x.x.x segment eth1 is on the 192.168.x.x segment I want to route anything from eth1 segment which is destined to the 210.x.x.x segment and beyond (210.x.x.x segment is a public ip pool). I guess what I am trying to do is make the 192.168.x.x segment, use the 210 segment as it's gateway. I looked at man route and thought I knew what I was doing, but of course I was wrong. Strangely, I also have dialin users (using pppd) who I am assigning 192.168.x.x. addresses and I'm using IP chains to route them to the 210 gateway and it works just fine. Obviously I'm missing something pretty basic here. Can anyone point my nose in the right direction please?
