I got a question how to update fonts.alias file
To the best of my knowledge, you update it with a text-editor ;-) if you want to call a font by the name fred, then add it to the file: fred -long-font-name-from-fonts.dir-
I saw fonts.alias file which wasn't updated with the new font, therefore Linux can't see the new font.
I don't think that is why. Perhaps you should restart X. You can call fonts by the long name given in fonts.dir files and optionally shorten that name with the alias file.
