Ok, i've a Mach64 based ATI card that works right with the XF86_Mach64 server, until I installed the f*cked framebuffer. I've an old safe kernel without framebuffer, that's not a trouble, the trouble is that I *need* the framebuffer and the X-Window system working both at a time, that's not ask too much I think... Well, in not many words, I recompile my kernel (2.2.14) with support for framebuffer and Mach64 framebuffer devices. All works OK during the boot sequence but now, if i start X-Window system, things doesn't not run right, the screen is displaced from left-top corner and there's a lot of snow and another fatal anomalies. If i try to execute XF86Setup with the XF86_VGA server the things goes even worse, you can turn blind seeing the extrange red and black psicodelic pictures that screen shows and the mouse pointer appears two times in two different places at same time (teleport is possible!!!! =8-O)... Well, jokes at a side... Do you anyone have any hint for me? Thanks a lot, dear brothers :) -- Francisco M. Marzoa Alonso Nuevo Mundo - Dpto.
