Hi, this is a topic that occurs frequently judging by the archives. I have a similar problem in that I can't seem to be able to start MySQL. I found this from Leny Grimmer: 'If you installed MySQL as an RPM from the SuSE distribution, just set "START_MYSQL" in /etc/rc.config to "yes". It will then be started by the init script /sbin/init.d/mysql on bootup.' But my /etc/rc.config doesn't contain START_MYSQL. So, do I just add the line to /etc/rc.config or do I need to do something else first?
