I was just curious as to why PacBell does that?  I've got PacBell but with
PPPoE and there was no mention of this during setup.  I guess because of the
dynamic IP that PPPoE uses.  I'm going to switch my ISP portion over to
pacificnet.net so I can get a static IP.  ADSL sure has been nice.
