Hi,
I have set-up autofs for auto-mounting my cdrom and zip drive, all seams to be working ok, but I have two questions.
1) It seams that when the cdrom and zip have been un-mounted the directories that I have set-up as mount points get removed automatically. Is this correct? If so is there a way of keeping them from being deleted (if messes up my Samba shares)
Yes, I took a quick look at the man pages of autofs and automounter and found no mention of the directory removal or how to customize that aspect of it.
2) Is there such thing as an auto-un-mount program, the same as autofs, but unmounts the media when I leave the directory?
You could set up a shorter time out interval for the automounter. -- Rafael Herrera Laboratory for Computational Neuroscience University of Pittsburgh http://www.neuronet.pitt.edu/~raffo -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
