I hand edited the newer sample suse smb.conf file and just changed som stuff. Will try this out later , easier that fumbling with the hardware. I moved to rg45 and 100 megbit hub/cards simply couse the thin ethernet was geting very out of wack and taking too much time fumblingwith. This is the first time I have ahd truble over the last year. Luckly some of the older card have the rg48 modulat plug on the back , so they do come in handy for low demand stuff. At 03:51 PM 4/4/2000 -0500, Rocky McGaugh wrote:
the last time i setup samba, i used 'swat' for some reason, and i started having this problem. really boggled me since i've had samba working many times before.
i ended up commenting out the socket options swat had put in there, and its worked great ever since.

got a samba/nfs server that locks up when copy/transferring large files. Small files copy ok. Large files just sort of hang up , both on both ends. on the machine (client) the copy procedure just hangs and the process menter just sticks there. One the server end it locks up.
