i was at a convention this weekend, there was a dhcp server running, as i
setup my machine to receive this information, i got the following errors:

$ dhclient eth0

SCOIFLAGS: No Such Device
listening on eth0...
no DHCP offers....

$ route -n
127.0.0.1 lo.....

$ route add 192.168.12 dev eth0
SCOIFLAGS: Network is Down

$ ifconfig eth0 up
SCOIFLAGS: No Such Device

This problem came on multiple machines all running SuSE 6.3 In order for my
card to work, i had to de-activate, unload modules, re-load modules, and
reactivate card with a static IP. Is there a problem in what i am doing, or
is it dhclient?
