Hi!
Yesterday I´ve installed the newest KDE Version from LinuKS from the
SuSE-FTP-Server into my SuSE 6.0. But now KDE isn´t working anymore.
It seems that KFM has massive problems opening some libraries.
When KWM and X are running, I´ve got no possibility to open files and
windows. After shutting down KDE and X on the console there are some
error-messages:
KFM NOT READY
ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY
ERROR: KFM is not running
...
kfm: error in loading shared libraries
libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such dir or file.
No PID file called `/root/.kde/share/apps/kfm/pidPlato_0.0`
No PID file!!!!!!!!!!!! Running new KFM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No PID file called ... (same as above)
ERROR KFM is not running
ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY
ERROR: KFM is not running
(the computers hostname is Plato...)
Is this a bug in the newest KDE-Version or my fault?
As the SuSE-LinuKS-Website told me, I´ve installed the *.rpm´s from the
Series kde1-kde4 (without the games and multimedia *rpm´s)
What can I do to make my KFM running again? (I´ve installed the new
packets three times until now)
Thanx
