Then you should be able to run your scanner. Mind you, it need to be on on bootup to be recognised. (There is a tool about to rescan the SCSI bus) You wouldn't need the "modprobe" and conf.modules stuff. Juergen
able to use the cdwriter what I understand is I have sg module already. when I tried the above xsane says no scanning device available.
What am I missing any ideas
