I just installed RP7 and it kinda works. It opens but when I click on a link from a website and plays the little intro for realplayer and then just stops. I have to save the .ram local and then open file local. Any ideas on what is causing this? Richard Booth wrote:
Thanks everyone for advice on realplayer g2, I installed succesfuly to listen to the forest match last saturday, however I should have read the readme notes as it expired on 15/3/00! 4 days use...why didn't real.com update their download page to realplayer 7 before now?
Anyway I have now downloaded realplayer 7 glibc 2.0 to hopefully be able listen to another football commentary.
Has anyone used realplayer 7 glibc 2.0 on suse 6.3 yet, work okay? Also, I want to remove the expired realplayer g2, is there a quick way to uninstall a bin file (g2a1_linux22.bin) or is it a manually job of finding and deleting files from /usr/local and home?
Cheers Rich

Hi
Has anyone got Realplayer G2 working with SuSE 6.3? If so, is it straight forward to install? I have got an alpha version of the generic binary for kernel 2.2.
What install procedure did you use? Is it stable enough to use?
I followed the directions ;). Two notes: ALSA doesn't always get along nicely with the G2 player, and the Netscape plugin is broken. Other then that, it works reasonably well for me.
