I have just started trying to use WAV files in KDE and the play but very 'stuttered', it plays a brief part of the WAV and then there is about half a second silence, then the next part of the WAV is played.
1. Tell us what your soundcard is, so that we may flame you incessantly about the poor hardware you own, and how you really should be more careful when you invest in equipment. 2. Tell us which set of modules you are using (OSS/Free, OSS/Commercial, or ALSA), so that we can start a flame war amongst ourselves about commercial vs. Free and kernel includes vs. an experimental API. 3. Tell us how you are playing the sound, so that we can come argue about the *best* way to skin this cat and act like 8-year-olds arguing about who's PERL script for linking playback binaries is better than who's. 4. Be satisfied with the answer that there is no answer, and the fix to your problem will be included in KDE 2.9 and kernel 2.5 development trees.
