I've got a 40GB Maxtor UDMA/66 drive that I'm trying to configure
with SuSE 6.3 and am not having any success. That maxtor utility
is braindead and creates 1 primary partition and everything else
is extended. Ranish's partition manager isn't working right either,
and hopelessly confuses SuSE's install if I try and do the partitions
before. If I don't partition it before hand, SuSE then thinks the
drive has 1094 cylinders instead of 5194. Arrgh.

Any ideas. Do I need to wait for Suse 6.4?

This is what I'd like to do:

1 GB /
4 GB win98
8 GB solaris
128 MB swap
128 MB swap
8 GB /usr
2 GB /opt
8 GB /home
4 GB NT
<rest> FAT 32

Any suggestions appreciated.

Ben
