for the first one, try
touch /etc/modules.conf /lib/modules/2.2.13/modules.dep
to get rid of the date message, both will have the same time stamp, and you shouldn't get the messag anymore.
Actually, the preferred method is `depmod -a' which will actually *tell* you if something is wrong...
Someone else will have to help with no. 2.
After running depmod, the modules will load and unload as needed. Check /usr/doc/packages/modutils ;). If you're paranoid, though, you can insert a line in /sbin/init.d/boot.local like: modprobe emu10k -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\ 816-241-2641 x121 | http://www.atipa.com __V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
