Also, I would uninstall the RPM that you installed. Now change your conf.modules file to read how it says. Recompile your kernel. Finally add modprobe emu10k1 to your boot.local file and enjoy the sounds! I am up to the last hardware of my system. The sound card I have a Creative Lab Sound Blaster Live. Does SUSE 6.3 support it?
I downloaded the Creative Lab driver and it does not even let me install because the kernel version is not right. It is for the old one.
I have not tried OSS yet because the menu said it does not support PCI sound card. Is it true?
Anyone get this card working can give me a hand? Thanks a lot.
Did you download this one? It worked for me with no problems. http://www.suse.de/en/support/download/updates/63_update.html series snd: package emu10k1: - -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.3 for non-commercial use http://www.pgp.com iQA/AwUBOMDrbWcEf2EJ+vWKEQI9qACgghgLfLZ/f/XACsoq7Sg+Ji8PyMgAoKYH E8p51di8hXCJ1w0xuMRi0Ynq =k2f6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
