I saw this response, from Rick Moen, to a story on LinuxToday entitled: "Linux still not ready for desktop, says SuSE CEO" Moen attributes to Dyroff the follow: "Roland Dyroff always struck me as a very nice man, but somewhat clue-deficient about the Linux branch of his business. (SuSE AG has in the past regarded Linux as a sideline that it more-or-less accidentally moved into.) When the SuSE Oakland office encountered a minor file-locking problem between Samba and its Windows-based accounting package, a year or so ago, Roland felt it was ridiculous to bother filing a bug with the Samba project. "There is no problem", he's quoted as saying on that occasion. "You just install NT Server, and the problem goes away." Not the man I would ask about Linux's suitability for the desktop." How accurate is this?
