Are you using apsfilter? If so, you need to print to the raw printer.
Otherwise, the already Lexmark specific formatted data from the Win98
laptop is being transformed again by ghostscript or some other filter.

I have set up a Lexmark optra color 40 to print with postscript. It workes fine in Linux. I can print from cli, star office and Netscape with no problems.
But when I try to print with my laptop over an ethernet connection it just spews out junk. I can't figure out what's wrong. I don't even know where to start looking. I set up the printer through yast.
This is my Samba config file. And I have installed the newer version of lprold from SuSE. I also reinstalled the drivers for the windows computer.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
