Hello, I need to DiskCopy my SuSE 6.2 Bootdisk. Got a command for this?
I'm looking at 'dd' but the "Linux in a nutshell" does not give an example nor does the man. SuSE manual seems silent on DiskCopy. And what format does the new diskette need. minix or ext2fs?
man dd ;) <with bootdisk inserted> # dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/tmp/bootdisk.img <swap floppies> # dd if=/tmp/bootdisk.img of=/dev/fd0 (--or--) <with CD1 inserted and mounted and a floppy inserted> # dd if=/cdrom/disks/bootdisk of=/dev/fd0 The /disks directory on CD1 has a lot of usefull stuff in there...check the SuSE manual for more. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com __V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
