RE: [SLE] gnucash, qt_error from libguile

I have gnucash-1.2.5 running on SuSE 6.3. However, I have not tried
to get 1.3.0 to work. If you need any help let me know. I might try
and learn how to build an rpm and send it to LenZ.

Subject: [SLE] gnucash, qt_error from libguile

Has anyone successfully installed gnucash? I've seen the
recommendations
for using moneydance instead of gnucash posted on this newsgroup, but
moneydance is shareware, and I want to stick with free software.

I'm running into library problems. When I tried to install the
latest
stable gnucash rpm, it asked for newer libjpeg and libreadline
libraries.

libjpeg was a pain to install, but with help from some earlier
messages on
this newsgroup I got it running. I got libreadline by installing the
virtuoso package for linux.

That was enough to let the gnucash rpm install without errors, but
when I
try to run gnucash, it gives the following error:

gnucash: error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libguile.so.4:
undefined symbol: qt_error

I've tried updating my libguile library to a newer one, but I got the
same
problem. Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm stuck.

I'm running SuSE 6.2.

Thanks in advance,
