I am using a Exabyte 8505 I think. Its a 8mm tape drive. I get pretty good
backup speeds with BRU on it. I think that this particular model has been
obsoleted by Exabyte; but when I want to find things like this I can usually
do it at Ebay. I use the exabyte with several backup software solutions and
my SuSE 6.3 box. Works quite well on an adaptec 2930 u2w controller.
Take care.
