I have a comp. with hot swap. I had only one hard disk working under /dev/sda, but now i added a second hard disk(both hot swap), under what device does linux recognizes it? (i tried /dev/sdb ... /dev/sdo)
It *should* be /dev/sdb. Are you sure it's seated correctly and working? Mind you, I'm not sure how well Linux copes with hot-swapable drives...
I don't think Linux is going to recognize hot swap drives transparently, unless you have a RAID controller that handles hot swappable drives being replaced. -- Brad Shelton On Line Exchange http://online-isp.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
