Are you sure you're not confusing the server daemon dhcp with the client dhclient?? If you're using a cable modem you need the client. You're isp is running the dhcp server. Gerry On 26-Feb-00 Calyth wrote:
I just found out that my line somehow doesn't have DHCP. Hurray, now I could set up illegal servers! Anyways, I thought that setting this up could not get any easier, cause I just put in all the static values into the appropriate spot, but still the browsers are saying that they cannot locate to the host. When I have DHCP, Netscape gave me a problem about $SOCK_NS, but this time it doesn't. Any ideas?
