Would there have to be some guide lines? Say user a has a 40x abc generic
drive and user b has the same drive, but user a is running 50 seti processes
and servering up 400 pages per second though apache, the results could be
misleading...
If the machine was shutdown to single user mode it would all be equal right?

Sounds good to me :-). But it'll need some mechanism to show the type/model of hardware used for the test, no?
