I *had* exactly the same problem, until I (accidentally) came across this little feature... Press <Tab> until you get to a non-character input field (eg, ok button, tick box etc) and then press the corresponding number key for that F-Key... ("1" instead of F1, "0" instead of F-10) Works fine for me! :) Sean

Yes, this is because function keys don't travel well over telnet ;-)
Look in the 'General help for installation' option in YaST's main menu. Basically, what you have to do is press Ctrl-F and then the number of the function key. F1, for example, would be Ctrl-F and then 1.
