Hello everybody,
Am new to SUSE 6.3 and having small difficulty in sound config. I installed OSS which is fine for the KDE dekstop sounds. When I play music CD's, sound is only to the right speaker. Checked the options/preferences of Kmix and was fine.
It may be extreme, but if nothing else works, this might be your solution... it worked for me in a situation identical to yours. I bought a new CD-RW (my CD-Rom is dead) and installed, connecting both the "regular" and "sub-woofer" (which I don't have) plugs to the soundboard. Music CD's would only play on the right speaker. Once I unplugged the "woofer" pin everything started working perfectly. Hope it helps, Alvaro A. Novo
I have Yamaha OPL3 Sa2, 32 MB RAM, 686 Cyrix 200Mhz and 2GB HD.
Thanks for the welcome and recommendations.
