Hello, OK. I untarred the file and according to the read me, I should type the command make FREETYPE_BASE=<your path to FreeType-1.1> Where is FreeType-1.1 ? There is no file resembling that name. there are some libbttf.* files in /usr/lib is that the path? Interesting, I tried the command make FREETYPE_BASE= without any paths that created a file ttmkfdir What exactly does the word "FREETYPE_BASE" do in this command. And what does the path after the equal sign do? I looked at the man page. Thanks George Wed, 16 Feb 2000, ÷Ù ÎÁÐÉÓÁÌÉ:

I downloaded ttmkfdir . Anybody got a HOW-TO on it's installation? I untarred it. I read the README. I'm supposed to make changes to the MakeFile , I suppose to fit SuSE.
If you have freetype properly installed it should be sufficient to do a `make' and copy the binary to /usr/local/bin.
