Hello once again! I've got a question for the group and a request for advice. First, the question.... Last night I tried to play an audio CD on my boxen running 6.2. I had actually never done this before, so I assumed that I had to mount the CD. Easy, right? Wrong. I tried 'mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom' and it spat out an error about the file system type needing to be declared. I tried 'mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /cdrom' and it told me the file system type was incorrect (duh). I checked the man page, and I was unable to determine the FS type to mount it as. I know this is a bone headed question, but could someone bring me up to speed on this? Now, for the request for advice, I would like to get a job as a Linux/UNIX System Administrator eventually (as my question obviously rules me out as a candidate currently). I was wondering what people on the list (especially those currently in this type of position) feel would be a good skill set for such a position. I'm currently learning C/C++ and have a few years experience doing tech support (my current job, one that I'd like to be rid of quickly) and building PCs (professionally and as a hobbyist). I've applied for a few jobs doing more grunt work in a UNIX environment, but the question of my experience is holding me back (at least that's what I feel). What would be the best way to break into this profession, and what skills specifically do I need in order to perform this job well?
