Don't know if I'm right here, I don't use NT anymore, but I used to have
W98, NTserver and Linux on one HD once (using Partition Magic's
bootmanager though). But I know you can boot NT and Linux from the NT
bootmanager too. First of all, be carefull when you repartition your HD,
but I hope you already did that. Anyway, NT has it's own bootmanager
which is in the MBR. NT keeps all the info for this bootmanager in a
file somewhere in NT, probably in the rootdir, but I forgot where, since
I don't use NT anymore. Just open a couple of files, I remember the name
being pretty logical and I'm sure that when you open it you'll know what
I'm talking about. Install Linux on a different partition (of course)
and install LILO in the root partition instead of the MBR, else you'll
lose the NT bootmanager. Configure LILO just as you would if only Linux
was installed. Now go back to NT (not very hard, the bootmanager doesn't
give you any other options), and add another entry in the
'bootmanager-file', if you're having trouble with the entry let me know.
Now reboot your machine and boot into Linux...
