But sorry, why do you mention 132 MB and not 128 MB? Is perhaps one module with ECC or something like that? In that case I seem I remember there are problems with mixed configuration. If I were you I would give a try to another DIMM.
Actually, I believe the amount of memory is about 131MB. But it's not a problem. You mention 64MB, as most people do, but the actual amount is 65,536. Two such modules give you 131,072 - but again, people often refer to that as 128MB. When I composed the message I misremembered the number.
Actually, 2X64 meg dimms would be 128 megs, this is because a meg of ram or hd space is 1024 kb and when you multiply 1024 X 128 you get 131,072 which is in kb. If you put 131 or a 132 depending on what your bios shows at boot...Linux will just puke all over itself. I know this because I did it some years ago. If you don't have the correct mem that lilo is told you have it won't work. mem=128M is 131,072 kb... just my 0.02 -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org SuSE 6.3 (2.2.14) ICQ UIN:49268667 ------------------------------------------------------------ " Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom " --Gen.
