Hello, the #000000 and #FFFFFF did help. On white backgrounds, the highlight is black. Unfortunately, when I go to to the search engine webcrawler, I get a big black box in the middle of the screen, and no way to enter my search string. Is there anyother way fixing the highlight problem? Also, there are no settings for changing the color of highlight in Netscape. I got some messages saying look in preferences. I did. It's not there. whenever I highlight in netscape, so as to copy text, it is difficult to see the highlight, as it is a shade of pink that is so light, that it is basically white. Anyway to fix this?
Add
Netscape*selectBackground: #000000 Netscape*selectForeground: #FFFFFF
to your ~/.Xdefaults, and do a `xrdb -merge ~/.Xdefaults'. Of course this won't look to nice if you are viewing a homepage with black background and white foreground.
