Hello, I'm running Suse 6.1 with a realtek ethernet card on a small lan. the ethernet card in my linux bax has a 192 ip number and my modem has my real ip number. The problem that I'm having is that I can not get my linux box to see the other 192 ip's on my network (both of which run windows). I'm not sure, but I think it may be something between the netmask of the linux and windows computers... Any help would be great
Post the outputs of ifconfig, route -n for your Linux box as well as the IP addresses/netmasks for the Windows machines. -- George Toft http://www.georgetoft.com Certified NACSE Senior Network Specialist, Master of Science Information Systems Specializing in Linux/Unix System Administration and Network Administration --> Also looking for the right job in Ontario, California <-- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
