You will need to use samba , and while your at it , pick up a copy of Samba Black Book published by Corilis ISBN 1-57610-455-9by Denminic Baines. At $50.00 us , its a liile pricy , but once you crack it open you will see that it is very extensive and comprehensice at aprx 580 pages its no light wieght samba book. Best yet I have seen. It will be piad for After the first problem you fix with it , not to mention time saved tring to do things blind. It covers both windows95/nt and linux end of things , not like some others that only guid you on thelinux side. It has lots of info on win nt as well. It just came out , so it may be hard to find. I got it at barnse and noble in NYC At 05:32 PM 2/7/2000 +0100, Lenz Grimmer wrote:

I was wondering if anyone could point me towards the best info on getting linux fitted into an entirely NT4-based network. I need to get access to directories and printersas well as internet access through the network.
To mount NT shares, use smbmount. To print to shared printers, use YaST to set it up. Both actions need the Samba package. To access the net, just make sure, your TCP/IP configuration is set up properly. (Default route, nameserver)
I am trying to make my Windows as redundant as possible but have no idea how to do this.
Where do I start?
Hope that helps for starters.
Bye, LenZ
